Erin and Ben currently live in Laurel with their two daughters, Helen and Mae. In addition to their 1920s cottage, they also own a second country home in Mississippi.

Despite undergoing several CT scans and other medical tests, the doctors could never find the reason behind her pain. Eventually, Erin's OB/GYN suggested an exploratory surgery in 2014 which revealed the problem. Erin was suffering from a perforated appendix, and over the years, it would burst and then heal itself.

As for Ben, he explained to People, "We approach everything as a team." That may be true; however, they both have their own specific tasks when it comes to renovating and their own skillset. Indeed, Ben tends to take care of the wood-related work, which is why you might have assumed that he's a contractor or carpenter.

New episodes for the show's seventh season aired in early 2024. It is hard to believe that over 100 homes have been renovated by the Napiers, and that Erin and Ben are in production for Season 8.

In fact, Erin has a degree in graphic design while Ben has a degree in history. Before they got the show, the couple filled their time by running their small businesses: a furniture shop, a stationery shop, and a home goods store in Laurel.

Laurel has been the birthplace of many who would rise to great celebrity including Lance Bass of the pop group NSYNC. It was the childhood home of world-renowned opera legend, Leontyne Price.
